Pathetic news! If the person that suggested the name ‘Nigaz’ is not immediately fired, then there is no one left thinking normally in the Nigerian Government.
With such SENSITIVITY attached to the word, one would think the Nigerian government, leading the most populous black nation in the world with a population of about 200 million people (all blacks) should have known better. In my opinion ‘NIGERIA MUST BE REBOOTED’ and sanity installed before it is too late for the country.
Everyone will agree with me that this single incident has finally opened up the box that was hiding the quality of people and the ability of decision making for the Federal Government of Nigeria. This could be narrowed down to bunch of un-educated sycophants whose only objective is to sell every oil & gas blocks (Nigeria’s birth-right) to foreign countries, then siphon Nigeria’s wealth abroad.
Russians are hard working people, and care about their citizens. That is the reason why they come all the way from Russia to Nigeria to sign a deal to consolidate their position in the gas business. Has Nigerian government ever thought in the reverse – that is, going out to foreign country to sign a deal, say, to buy oil or gas blocks that may benefit the next generation of Nigerians? Think of this in a minute.
